How does weekly mowing work?
For residential properties, weekly mowing is billed automatically each week via credit card on file—similar to how utility billing works. This system improves efficiency and allows me to spend more time maintaining your property rather than managing paperwork.
Here’s how it works:
- No contracts required – Residential clients can cancel your service at any time with just two weeks notice.
- Pricing is based on property size, terrain difficulty (e.g., slopes), gate width (which can affect equipment access), and how much trimming is needed.
- Mowing height is typically set at 3 ¾”, which promotes healthy grass growth and moisture retention. Let me know if you prefer a different height.
- Mowing schedule: While I aim to mow your lawn on the same day each week, mowing will occur within a 5–9 day window. This flexibility accounts for rain or schedule adjustments. For example, if your usual day is Friday but rain is expected, we might mow on Wednesday and return to Friday the following week.
For commercial properties:
- Clients are billed every 4 weeks.
- A seasonal contract is required for weekly service from May 1 to October 31.
What is lawn aeration and why should I do it?
Lawn aeration is the process of removing small plugs of soil from your lawn to reduce compaction and improve air, water, and nutrient flow to the grass roots. This helps your lawn grow stronger, healthier, and greener.
Benefits of lawn aeration include:
- Improved root development
- Better absorption of water and nutrients
- Reduced soil compaction
- Enhanced drought resistance
- Thicker, more resilient grass
Aeration is especially beneficial for lawns that experience heavy foot traffic, have clay soil, or show signs of thinning or pooling water. The best time to aerate is typically in the spring or fall, when grass is actively growing and can recover quickly.

- Amount of trimming and detail work required
These same considerations apply to other landscaping services as well.
